Coating Technology Capabilities
Maximum Substrate Diameter:
280mm
Spectral Range:
193nm to 2500nm
Substrate Cleaning:
Automated ultrasonic aqueous system by Optimal Technologies for
batch cleaning. Manual cleaning using high purity Methanol
Coating Technology:
Physical Vapour Deposition by Electron Beam or Thermal Source.
Ion assisted deposition is also available for high temperature stability and humidity resistant coatings.
Laser Damage Threshold:
>20 Joules cm-2 in 3ns @ 1053nm
3.5 Joules cm-2 in 10ns pulses at 248nm
1 Joule cm-2 in 10ns pulses at 193nm
Uniformity:
Typically 0.5% over 100mm diameter
Coating Materials:
Ultra-hard oxide
This type of coating meets the following standards with respect to adhesion
and resistance to abrasion; MIL-C-675C, MIL-M-13508C, MIL-C-14806. Very
hard coatings offering the highest Laser Damage Threshold around 1064nm.
Fluoride
The best solution for DUV coatings
Sulphide / Fluoride
Soft, low stress coatings for Fabry Perot etalons
Coating Design Programs:
FilmStar and Essential Macleod
Spectral Testing:
Perkin Elmer Lambda 900 Spectrometer (operational range 185nm
- 3000nm). We supply a transmission or reflection plot with each
shipment
Substrate Surface Flatness:
Surface flatness of substrates is routinely tested before and after coating
using a Zygo GPI/XP non-contract phase interferometer. For standard
optics we offer λ/4 to λ/10 (at 633nm) surface flatness after coating
depending upon substrate size and material type.
